Evaluation 3 As you can see from the images below these are our feedback sheets and the video of our feedback. Below the video and the questionnaire I will analyze what we received. Overall from all the feedback that received from our peers about our film it was very good. They helped us a lot with finding out what parts of our trailer could be improved on yet also informed us on the parts of our trailer where we did really well. They were very impressed when it came to the technical skills used when creating our titles. This is because we used fade to black on the titles to create a gloomy feel and it also made the production look like a real media product. Our peers were also very impressed with the use of the gun at the end to create an enigma code. It created a large amount of tension as a gun shot went off and then the screen went black this is because the audience did not know what happened. However it was good for us because it meant that the audience would want to...

How have I improved my conventions of real media texts?

How have I improved my conventions of real media texts? In this post I will be talking about both my projects and how both of them look like professional media projects. For my first project which was my AS it was not very successful with looking like a real media project. It looked very fake and looked like there was not a lot of care taken with creating the titles for example. There were no animations that were involved in the titles they just appeared on the screen and this made it look really poor and uninteresting. However when it came to creating our A2 project my group made it known to each other that we must make the titles make look more interesting. We done this by adding animations to each one. For example on the first title that came up we used a fade in which meant the title disappeared into the back of the screen. Firstly this made it look very professional yet it also helped our trailer appeal to our audience as it made it look like a mysterious action film. The fac...

Evaluation 2 In our film we use range of different types of sound. the first bit of use of sound was at the start when Ghalib who is the rich businessman receives a phone call and the ringtone goes off this shows that there is actually a conversation happening and makes the whole trailer look much more professional. The one that is the most effective however is the music that is over the top of the whole trailer. We found this non copyright music on YouTube. We felt like it was the perfect type of music as it was going to be really effective alongside our trailer. The loud thumping noise starts very slowly at the start of our trailer but as it goes further into the trailer the pace of the music starts to increase. It increases with the amount of footage we have so it is really effective. As the music increases in pace the tension increases with it. This makes our trailer look really professional as this is what real film producers do to create tension in their trailers. At the end o...

Evaluation 1 In our film there is a lot of representation to other films in our genre. Our film this year is an action film based on a kidnapping that takes place in exchange for some money. A similar film that is the same genre as ours is Taken which stars Liam Neeson. In that film his daughter is abducted and he must fight his way to try and find her. This is similar to our film as in ours someone is abducted but instead of having to fight to be able to find them a call is made by the rich businessman who abducted the brother and a deal is made with a sum of money that has to be exchanged so that the brother can be set free. So with the overall story line we have conformed to the general stereotypes of films that have abduction in them. We have done this by including different stereotypes such as the abduction in the car, exchange of money and also at the end when there is a final fight between the main character and the villain to get back the person who has been abducted. At t...
