Texas Chainsaw Massacre Trailer Analysis

Image
Texas Chainsaw Massacre Trailer Analysis   After watching the trailer to this well known horror movie it is very clear that the film is aimed at the older generation and that there target audience would not be anyone below the age of 15 as it clearly has a lot of graphic scenes that younger viewers would find very disturbing. So I think that the target audience for this film ranges from the age of 18 up to around 25 as these are the ages where your going to get teenagers and young adults who enjoy watching these type of gory, scary films for the thrill of it. right from the start you can see that it is a typical horror film as you see that the film is based around a group of vulnerable teenagers who are going away for the weekend this is a typical stereotype for horror films because a group of teenagers are easy to use because they could be thought as young and helpless. Normally films use voice overs in their trailers to tell the audience about the story or about credit info...

The Silence Of The Lambs Film Poster Analysis

Image
The Silence Of The Lambs Film Poster Analysis There are many connotations all over this film poster. As you can see from the poster below that the women who is on the poster has got bright red eyes. They have been made this colour because it shows death and also blood. This is because this film is very gory and graphic so the red is used to connote blood to tell the audience it is going to be gory. You can also see from the film poster that there is a large image of a moth that is covering the women mouth, on the moth there is a skull which once again connotes death. So from most of this film poster it is clear that it connotes death which shows that the type of film is going to be a horror film. The moth covering her mouth can also link to the title of the film 'the silence of the lambs' this is because silence can be related to the fact that the moth is covering her mouth stopping her being able to talk. This makes the audience wonder what the purpose of the moth is with...

IT Trailer Analysis

IT Trailer Analysis From watching the trailer of this film it is very clear to what the target audience for the film is. First of all you can see mainly that it is aimed at the younger generation of teenagers maybe between the age of 15-25 years old. Then again I believe that its also aimed at middle aged men and women this is because I know that it is a remake of the film IT that was released in 1986 so this means that most the people who watched the film thirty years ago will be interested in watching it now to see if it has improved and also because they will feel like they are familiar with the story line. However I do think that they are doing something wrong by releasing the film in September because there target audience are obviously teenagers and when it is released in September not a lot of people will be going to watch it as all teenagers will be going back to important years in school or sixth form. so it was probably more suited to be released in July or August as thi...

Spectre Film Poster Analysis

Image
Spectre Film Poster Analysis This film poster I believe has two types, it is a combination of the teaser poster as it says nothing about the plot but it does have pictures of the star and it has the main title. It also hints that the film is coming soon which is teasing people. However it could be seen as a character poster, this is because it clearly features two of the main characters as the main image on the poster.  The title of the film is Spectre, this is on the poster just below the two main characters. The title title graphics are in a bold lettering, it clearly shows out but then again it also looks very sophisticated and professional. I think that the title also goes well with the type of film that this is, as it is an agent film I think that the title has been written in the best font for this. The two characters on the front of the poster are Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux, the stars names have been included just below the title of the film along with director and ...

Spectre Trailer Analysis

Spectre Trailer Analysis Below I have the 007 Spectre trailer, it is the newest James Bond which is are films all about the famous spy James Bond. I would say that the target audience for this film is aimed at mostly males either 16-25 year old boys or even for the older generation that will enjoy it for example 25-45 year old men. I think that this film is aimed at males because of all the action and intense scenes that are included within the trailer which generally is a stereotype that males like to watch. However there could be a link towards females, as the trailer shows a relationship occurring many times with several women and this is something that stereo typically women enjoy to watch, films about love. I have chose this film trailer to analyse because it is similar to the type of film that I hope to produce in my next project, I have always wanted to create a spy film and hopefully this time I will be able to do so. There are many conventions within this trailer. How...

Digital Technology

Digital Technology The software that I used for the construction of the film that we made was adobe premiere. It was very useful throughout the whole process. It helped us in creating a film that looked professional and not tacky. From right at the beginning it was very easy in finding out how to use the software and when you got the hang of it, you were able to use such things as animations, sounds and cropping clips. We used all three of these in the creation of our film. I did most the editing on our film which meant that it was up to me to make the film look professional. As I did most of the editing it meant that I felt more comfortable using the software adobe premiere. We also used YouTube to upload our film and make people able to watch it whenever they want.  For the creation of our film we didn't actually use much equipment. To do the filming we used my Iphone 5s because we knew that it had just as good quality camera as the cameras provided from the school. We w...
