Spectre Film Poster Analysis

Spectre Film Poster Analysis

This film poster I believe has two types, it is a combination of the teaser poster as it says nothing about the plot but it does have pictures of the star and it has the main title. It also hints that the film is coming soon which is teasing people. However it could be seen as a character poster, this is because it clearly features two of the main characters as the main image on the poster.
The title of the film is Spectre, this is on the poster just below the two main characters. The title title graphics are in a bold lettering, it clearly shows out but then again it also looks very sophisticated and professional. I think that the title also goes well with the type of film that this is, as it is an agent film I think that the title has been written in the best font for this. The two characters on the front of the poster are Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux, the stars names have been included just below the title of the film along with director and other information, the stars names have been put there so that the audience knows who is in the film. When someone looks at a poster they will always look at the bottom for the information. One image that has been included on the poster is a full body picture of James Bond (Daniel Craig) he looks very smart with a black and white suit on and in his right hand he is holding a gun. This image has been chosen to show that it is an action film it will include guns violence explosions and a lot of tense scenes. The second image that has been included on this poster is of the main woman in the film, once again she is looking very dressed up as she stands side on in a nice fancy dress, this image has been used to appeal to the female audience that they want to attract. It shows that there is some kind of relationship and this will interest the female audience into going to watch the film. From this film poster I see that the target audience for this film is teenage males or even men between the age of 25-45 and then it could also be aimed at women of the same age because of the female involvement on the poster.
Most of the colours used on the poster are actually black and white for example the suit that James Bond is wearing and also most of the background is black and white. This shows that some of this film is going to be dark and mysterious. Part of the background is also red. This shows that there could be some sort of love or even death throughout the film.
