Conventions
This is a mind
map of action which has the main conventions of an action films. Some examples
are that many action films are set in Eastern European Countries because many
action films include terrorists, also many action films contain explosions and
fight scenes which then suggests that there will be lots of action going in in
the films. This mind map would give me some crucial ideas on what we could add
to make an action film good as well what I could add to improve an action film.
These thriller
conventions will help our group decide what we could have in our film, for
example we will need to add some kind of music which will have to be intense
because as our film is a action thriller film there will need to be some music
to make the scenes more intense. Another convention is that there needs to be a
strong story line because it needs to engage the audience and bring them along
with the story, if the film doesn't have a strong and engaging story line it
will lose the audience. There must also be reasonably quick cuts in a fight
scene because it would make it look more realistic and interesting for people
to watch, this means that the fights will be more intense and dramatic for both
the actors and the audience. An antagonist driven plot is important for the
film because it helps set the scene and create the story line which will help
the audience connect with both the protagonist and the antagonist.
